While most vibrators may look gendered based on their color or design, at the end of the day, a vibrator is just an electronic tool made to stimulate nerve-endings — anyone can use them. But even though there’s a whole world of vibrators out there, most penis-owners don’t think to use them when it comes to pleasuring themselves. It’s time to change that.
In this stream, sex educator Sharin’ Peter discusses all types of “guybrators,” and how they can be used for masturbation and/or partnered play.
To start, you may want to try a traditional stroker with a vibrator bullet inside. Some masturbation sleeves, like the Vibration Tight Mouth Stroker, are shaped like a mouth with a tongue inside that vibrates or offers different suction. The Zolo Zeppelin is a little more complex as it’s hollow inside and has a spinning sleeve with firm balls that ring around the shaft. Just be sure you’re the right size for this toy because the motor stops easily with enough pressure. There are a ton of other strokers to try, such as the PDX Elite, Calexotics Optimum Series Automatic Smart Pump, or toys from Hot Octopuss, which are built to fit 95% of penis sizes. If you want to try something small and simple, try a cock ring.
If you want to try playing with your prostate, aslo known as the male G-spot, you can stimulate it internally with a toy or fingers. You can also reach it externally by applying pressure or vibration to the perineum — the area between the balls and asshole, aka the taint. You can try a massage wand from Cloud 9, which are typically larger with rumbly vibrations and good for prostate stimulation externally on the perineum or on the base of the penis (since the shaft extends internally behind the balls). The tip of it also has a stroker you can use for the shaft of the penis. Using toys around the rectum can also feel good because there are so many nerve-endings there. If you want something for penetration, to stimulate the prostate more directly, you can use a prostate toy, which usually has a curve to go up inside the anus and hit the prostate. Peter recommends a Spark Ignition PRV- 02 Plug by Blush, which has a vibrator bullet that can go inside the toy. You can also try the Anal Fantasy Ultimate P-spot Milker, which rocks agasint the prostate and milks it with a rocking motion. You can try anal beads or toys by Anal Fantasy. Just be sure to go slow and use lube to avoid tearing.
If you want to try a different sensation, you may want to explore urethral sounding — this is when you massage the penis from inside the urethra. If this isn’t your thing, that’s OK, but if you’re interested, you can try the Dark Rod by Master Series, a vibrating beaded, silicone sound. Just make sure any toy you put in your urethra is sterile and that you use the toy slowly and don’t force it down.
There are just so many “guybrators” out there, you might as well experiment with a few to see if you can make sex even more pleasurable. But if sex toys aren’t your thing at all, you do you. Just make sure to have fun regardless!
